AdvisingI graduated 14 Ph.D. students and 37 M.S. students, and also directed the theses of 4 honors students. 9 of my Ph.D. students are currently professors (2 in the US, 1 in Mexico, and 6 in other countries), the remaining work for global high-tech companies, e.g., Microsoft, AMD, and Samsung.Undergraduate and Graduate TeachingI taught undergraduate and graduate level courses at University of California Santa Barbara (as a graduate student, 1988), at University of Houston (assistant professor, 1988-1992), at Oregon State University (assistant, associate and full professor, 1992-2005), and finally at University of California Santa Barbara (as a visiting professor). Furthermore, I taught in several universities in Turkey and Italy as a visiting professor.
